Congratulations to the April member of the Month: Louise Jeffray!
Louise has been with us for almost 1 year and has quickly become a CrossFit addict! She has been topping the committed club for the last couple months and since the gym has closed, she has not missed a single workout we have posted. She did 30 at home workouts in 30 days for April! Very impressive that being in quarantine has not changed her workout routine. Louise was making some impressive strength and skill progress before we closed, getting close to doing a lot of workouts Rx!
Louise and her husband Phil are quite the hosts if you get the chance to attend one of their poker nights (post quarantine), even if you don't know how to play, it is a great time and they will teach you! It's mainly a great time because Louise and Phil are just such great and fun people. Louise is also supporting the gym throughout our closure which is very generous in these tough time. We look forward to getting back into the gym soon (I know she will be one of the first ones back in) to continue where we left off on our strength and fitness progress!

How did you get into CrossFit:
Phil had convinced me to try the on-ramp with him and Tiff. He’d done it before and thought I’d really enjoy it. I’m a creature of habit, so to be honest, I thought I’d appease him by going, but assumed I’d return to my normal home workouts and barre classes afterwards unfazed. I’ve danced most of my life and have had periods of weight lifting pre-kids, so I’ve always been a mover. CrossFit really implemented a lot of the movements that I loved - with a few twists - and made me feel really strong. I fell in love!

Either 6:30 p.m., or 6 a.m.

Haha, cleans! Although, I’m kinda liking them now ;)
Favourite Cheat Meal/Food:
Hmm, cheat meal. I really do love healthy food, but I love me some Indian take out! Very close second to salmon and veggies - big size!
