Congratulations to the October members of the Month: Jen Mason and Doug Wetherill! If you haven't ran into Jen and Doug yet, you probably just joined the gym. Jen's super positivity and Doug's friendly and loveable personality are always a highlight of any class, they are everyones favourite gym couple.
For the past 2 months they have both topped the committed club and in October alone they did a combined 45 classes! If you include their son Noah who is a committed kids class member, their family attends over 50 classes a month! Their commitment to the gym shows with the progress they have made since being convinced by their former neighbour (and former coach of ours, Clinton) to join us. Doug could be seen destroying open workouts in his all red outfit, and Jen couldn't be missed decorating and being the green teams spirit animal! We are lucky to have Jen and Doug as members at 1827!

How did you get into CrossFit:
J - Clint Tonge introduced me and got me started. It took me a long time to work up my nerve to join, but I am SO GLAD I did!
D - I was looking for more challenge in my exercise routine. Clint, Jen and Noah got me going and I haven't looked back!
Favourite Class Time to attend:
J - 9am!
D - Definitely mornings, either 9am or 6am. Also love weekends
J - Most barbell movements (I stupid-love barbells!), Rowing, Tire Flipping
D - Back Squat, Handstand push-ups (work in progress!!) and yes, burpees over the rower
Least Favourite Movement(s):
J - BURPEES and Assault Bike
D - Double-unders and pull-ups
Favourite Cheat Meal/Food:
J - Just one? Chips and hoppy IPAs… Not so much a meal, but mmmmmmm...
D - pizza and beer- preferably the hoppiest IPA you can find!
